Very nice leather
"I broke down and bought an entire hide and have made several holsters with it. The 9/10 oz was probably a little heavy but they turned out nice. The leather molds and dyes well. Still have enough to make 10-12 holsters and will probably use 7-8 oz. from then on. Very pleased with the quality and the customer service at Weaver."

First impression right out of
"First impression right out of the box was it had more defects than that of other A Grade HO leather I have purchased from other suppliers. After trimming off the parts that cannot be used for tooling, I ended up with 20 sq ft vs the 24 sq ft that I purchased. Even with careful trimming, there was not 4 square feet of waste so, the method of measuring square footage must be different between my measurements and Weavers. As for tooling, the leather carves and tools very well, just what I would expect from HO leather."

"Not super clean especially for the price of grade A, Ive had cleaner A/B Branded sides. I kept it because I do not feel like sending stuff back and forth but I will probably venture away from Hermann Oak in the future. The quality doesn't seem to be what it once was."
The hide has light discoloring.
"The hide has light discoloring. More blemishes than I would expect from such an expensive leather. I have never bought this leather before so I was expecting better quality than the cheaper leather I usually buy. Unfortunately it was not. Little disappointed."
