"The saddle I put these on is over 40 years old and I expect these new leathers will last another 40. I've used pre-punched stirrup leathers in the past and the holes don't always line up. I'd wind up having to elongate a few holes which made for a sloppy finish. Using a portion of the old stirrup leathers as a template, I marked the holes and the English point on the end. From there, it was a simple matter of punching holes and trimming the ends. I beveled the edges on both sides with a round #3 and burnished with saddle soap. The quality of the leather is exceptional with uniform thickness throughout and precise width. The price may seem expensive, but they are well worth the money."
